Robert Luukko, President, Co-Owner
I founded Kidd-Luukko Corporation with Sean Kidd in 2002. My responsibilities range from overseeing each department within the company. This includes advertising, direct sales, marketing, estimating, ordering, human resources, financial management, scheduling and problem solving.
What I enjoy most about the job is working with my people. I have assembled a group of highly-qualified individuals which I am proud to employ every day.
I have always lived in a small town in central Massachusetts where I am surrounded by life-long friends as well as family. While the winters may be difficult, I can’t imagine wanting to live anywhere else.
Justin Hardy, Chief Estimator
I have been working at Kidd-Luukko since the fall of 2009. I oversee all commercial estimating; from lead selection and distribution to our staff of estimators, to reviewing take-offs and proposals. I have a degree in architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology and worked at a local architectural and construction management firm that fell victim to the recession. After having worked with K-LC at that firm previously, I reached out to Bob and Sean when I saw they had the need for an estimator.
Math has always been a strong suit of mine, so I enjoy the process of arriving at a cost for a given roof and seeing the job through the progression and then checking to make sure the estimate was accurate. My background helps me to read an interpret plans and specifications. I haven’t lived anywhere else. I grew up in a suburb of Worcester, and now reside in a small town in the western part of the county. Nearly all of my family ties are in the Worcester area.
Jessica Gilbert, Office Manager and Book-Keeping
I became a member of the KL-C family in April of 2015. I was looking for a change of people and atmosphere and was lucky enough to answer an add for their job posting. Some of my main responsibilities include overseeing all Financial aspects of the company while working alongside one of the owners Bob. I manage the office and its daily needs. Maintain contact with our customers. Make sure the employees are taken care of on a Human Resource/Payroll aspect. Assist in the hiring process. I work with the Field Managers to schedule any Commercial Repairs. Work with and assist Bob & Sean with their scheduling needs and any special projects.
I very much enjoy the people I work with and for. Bob & Sean run a very fair and customer satisfaction driven business. Things are done a little differently than most companies and it works great for them. My co-workers are all great people that I enjoy being around in & outside of the office. I love the busyness of my job. I like the ever-changing daily items & the opportunity to learn new things and have people patient enough to teach & help me understand them. I enjoy the satisfaction of being able to excel at what I do & know that it is a direct benefit to the company itself in the big picture. Everyone here always makes you feel welcomed and part of the team.
I started out in the Customer Service industry in High School & fell into Finance by accident while helping someone out. I enjoyed the challenge and working with numbers, making things “work” and working with different levels of management. I have been in the Financial industry ever since. I love what I do. I have lived here most of my life and I enjoy the change of seasons, the way the communities know how to come together in times of need. The pride that we have as New Englanders and the amazing history that we have here. It is very rich in culture and diversity. Worcester County has so many hidden spots that contain such beauty. I love being outdoors and hiking/climbing. There is no shortage of new places to find and enjoy with my family.
